In January of 2012 Demetra contacted me via email. I responded, and found out that her and her fiance live in Arizona and were having a destination wedding. We decided to have a meeting over the phone which went well, and they booked pretty much immediately after. They wanted dance floor lighting, a monogram gobo and uplighting as additions to their package.

Wedding Lighting

Dujuan and Demetra had their wedding in the Terraza Ballroom. This ballroom is 64′ x 40′ and seats 160 guests banquet-style. They had around 80 guests so they had plenty of room and chose to uplight the walls to take advantage of the space.

Including cake underlighting.

Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa DJ Review

Demetra and Dujuan were kind enough to post a review of my services on The Knot.

THE BOMB! posted 6/10/2012

I found Dennis Jones from a review on a bridal blog and since I live in Arizona and my wedding was in San Diego I was hoping I made the right choice. I did a phone interview for over an hour and I had a great time he played music for me and really made me have confidence that he would make my reception a blast. We meet a month prior to the event and went over song selections and I got so much positive feedback from my guest that they love the selection and energy of the DJ. I was able to get dance floor lighting along with wall and cake table lighting. Everyone loved the gobo lighting with our initals on the dance floor.

This has to be one of the most eventful weddings I have done in a long time. Although these experiences are frustrating as they are occuring, they make for great stories later, and really help to hone the problem-solving skills every professional wedding DJ should have.
